Hello,

Thanks for being consistent with your newsletters. I don’t always read through each one but I enjoy them when I do. Your commitment inspires me.

Over the past week I’ve been consistent with working out. Over the past few weeks I’ve been consistent with working on writing projects. Neither of these things show instant results so I guess I’m in a trust the process phase.

It seems you’re in a similar phase, especially with your novel in progress. Congratulations on that. I hope your commitment to it is as consistent, everything else would fall into place.

Have a great week.

I've consistently read and understood my books for about three days now. I really do like that. And I've also meditated for at least 5mins first thing on waking for about a month now

Hey Mac. Your work is amazing. I struggle with consistency but I have found that I can be consistent in an idea and not a specific action. So instead of saying I have consistently made illustrated art (I have not), I can say for a fact that I have consistently made art in one form or the other for the past few months. From 3D art, to illustrated art to writing. It has become consistent and maybe it'll translate to more deliberate consistency.

Good on you this consistency thing. It's hard but it pays and it builds character.

Consistently attending my Mandarin lessons in the past year and a bit has been my thing. Getting to explore and think in a different language from English has been refreshing and challenging in equal measure. Waiting for my HSK1 test results and then if all is to measure I will do the next level up.

干杯 to consistency 🍻

Hello Ope, first, thank you for your consistency in writing + sending emails every Thursday. I say this because consistency is hard for me. Does getting out of bed every morning and making school meals for children count? Looking at my life, that is the only thing that I have done consistently for the past eight years...

I am the type that starts things and falls away along the way...I always need some form of motivation, usually something outside of myself to be 'consistent' at anything. Money is a good motivation for consistency. lolz. So, if it is related to work, it is that I have been editing other people's works for about ten years? Does that count?

Deadlines help my 'consistency'. If there is a deadline to finish ghostwriting a book, I show up at that desk every day and the pages fill up with words...but if it is to write my own thing? I slack.

I realise that it is difficult for me to be consistent if it is just for me, or for the sake of it...

Hi Ope, thank you for your very timely newsletters, they’ve been a great source of inspiration and encouragement. One thing I have consistently done is write/study poetry. I am grateful for my growth in the art of poetry, I guess I’m also grateful for the little bit of Mandarin I know because I’ve been halfway consistent at learning the language.

Hi Ope, one thing I have consistently done is stay alive. Amid, work, schooling and adapting to a new environment I’m still here alive. I have thought of ending things and I so desperately crave to be a flower. I’m still here and i always ask myself if it matters. Some days it is easier other days it is harder.

Hi Ope, I think one thing I have consistently done for the past month is worry. I've worried about every area of my life- work, school, career- and this At 23 trend has accelerated the entire thing because, when you read things people have done at 23, one begins to wonder what we've been doing with time.

Regardless, I am learning to be present, to be grateful and enjoy life, not worrying about what's next but just trusting and living.
